Victoria’s Secret (VS) has become the largest lingerie retailer in the United States, thanks to its success in appealing to a wide range of markets and age groups. From the sophisticated and sensuous to the whimsical and cute, VS offers a variety that caters to all sensibilities, be it clothing, accessories, or beauty products. You can buy them in-store, online, or through catalogues. Aside from seasonal sales, the company is rather generous when it comes to offering freebies, discounts and coupon codes.
Free Panties for VS Mailing List Members
Go to the VS website and sign up for the mailing list to receive exclusive offers and news about store events. Several times a year, VS mails a coupon for a free pair of panties and a discount for the matching bra.
“Like” the VS Facebook page
Aside from gorgeous photos of the VS Angels, such as Miranda Kerr and Erin Heatherton, the Facebook page also features discount codes and coupons that you can use for in-store, catalogue, and online purchases. Check the page often, especially during holidays and other gifting occasions; if you’re lucky, you might even grab a free rewards card.
The Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sales
Twice a year (during the summer and the winter months), VS holds a big sale discounting lingerie and clothing as high as 50%. The online sale starts a few weeks earlier than the store sales, with a much better selection than in the stores.
Free Panties with Bra Purchase
Add a qualifying bra and panties to your shopping cart at the VS website, then enter the code FREEPANTY at checkout to get the latter for free. (To see the qualifying panty styles, search FREEPANTY.) Offer not valid with other bra/panty offers, shipping deals or discounts on the entire order.
Free Shipping on Orders of $100
When you purchase qualifying items totaling $100 or more at the VS website, entering the coupon code FREESHIP100 upon checkout removes all shipping and handling charges. This code is only valid for free standard shipping & handling in the 48 contiguous states and Canada; orders to be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii and the U.S. Territories will be charged a discounted rate of $4.99. This offer cannot be used with other offers that provide discounts on the entire order. For orders outside the U.S., additional taxes and duties may apply.
The Angel Card
The VS Angel credit card lets you earn points and rewards with every online and in-store purchase. There are three types: the Angel/the PINK angel (the same benefits, but the latter is only offered in selected stores), the Angel VIP, and the Angel Forever. The basic Angel/PINK Angel card automatically gets upgraded to the Angel VIP and the Angel Forever once your account accumulates 500 and 1,000 points respectively. Angel cardholders earn a point for every dollar spent; you redeem a rewards gift every 250 points. Other benefits include $10 credit for your birthday, early access to the semi-annual sales, and double points on all bra purchases. Angel VIP and Angel Forever shoppers both receive free beauty gifts throughout the year and earn triple points on purchases during store events.
About Victoria’s Secret
Roy Raymond and his wife Gaye founded Victoria’s Secret in 1977, several years after Roy realized that the lingerie market was lacking. Roy tried to find something for his wife at a department store, only to be disappointed with dismal racks of ugly nightgowns and terrycloth robes. Since then, the company has had its share of problems, but has largely managed to revamp the brand to adapt to the market’s changing needs. In the early 2000s, VS has finally abandoned its “Victorian bordello” inspiration in favor of a more contemporary image. One of its most successful rebranding moves is the launch of PINK, which targets the 15 to 22-year-old market.
